I should have let him go, head out the door and drive to work. But I told him it was Sunday. He laughed and came back to bed.
I am going to chalk it up to him spending over six hours at the Ford dealership yesterday. Wheeling and dealing with them over a new truck. He hates to spend big money like that. In the process he lost a day!
We drive our cars until they have no life left in them, so it was time. But I know it wore him out!
Today we took it our for a drive and headed to Prosser where we stopped here to taste some wine.
Then we headed here for lunch, where we had a pizza and shared this. Mascarpone mousse with mango and blueberries.
Hope your weekend was awesome!
xoxo

I love this post; so entertaining.....I would love to have seen his face when he realized it was Sunday and not a work day...priceless. I am sure he loved riding you around in his new truck and showing it off to his friend....Guys...we have to love them....
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I have the same sweatshirt you had on in your photograph...It's so comfy and warm.....
A nice glass of wine is a delight for the eyes and tongue...
ReplyDeleteHa! This "going to work" on Sunday story made me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteOnce when I was still teaching I collapsed in our bed for a long nap on a Sunday afternoon. I awoke suddenly and looked at the clock - - - 5:30. I LEAPED out of bed so sure I was LATE getting ready for school that when I noticed the sun was already up, and had risen on the WEST side of the house I was SURE some catastrophic event had occurred and the world was all out of whack.
I rushed to find Fisherhubby saying, "why has the sun risen on the west side of the house?!?"
"Keetha, you goose, it's 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon!" said he.
Whew.
Cathy I loved the story behind all of this. The first paragraph made me smile and also the last paragraph made me smile even wider. We all have our passions as men and women. The moose looked wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounded perfect! I was giggling about him waking up on Sunday for work.

LOVE them looking under the hood :) Wine tasting is one of my favorite recreational activities. Are you a red or a white person? Sweet or dry?
ReplyDeleteBetter than not waking up for work, though... grin. A joyful post. New truck, nice wine, gorgeous dessert, all sounds wonderful. I keep looking at the dessert shot again and again, the light is amazing...
