rewind

“No, no! The adventures first, explanations take such a dreadful time.” ~  Lewis CarrollAlice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

every family
every friendship
every adventure
every person
has a story
stories we rewind and tell over and over
until they become such a part of us
that they are forever embossed onto out lives
every time they are told
a part of them changes
growing more personal
possibly more embellished
not because it is not the truth
but because it is what we truly believe
the story having become such a part of us
we feel it is our privileged
our responsibility to move it forward
out into the world around us
to keep it forever alive
:::

do you have a story?

  1. Love that Depth of Field in the photograph.

  2. Very good point about how the stories become a part of us. I have too many stories in my head, sometimes hard to narrow them down :)

  3. Love this, Cathy. It's so true that the years add detail to our life's stories, making them richer and more meaningful to us, and ever so more precious.

Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment. I do take time to read each and every one and I love to hear what you have to say.
