every family
every friendship
every adventure
every person
has a story
stories we rewind and tell over and over
until they become such a part of us
that they are forever embossed onto out lives
every time they are told
a part of them changes
growing more personal
possibly more embellished
not because it is not the truth
but because it is what we truly believe
the story having become such a part of us
we feel it is our privileged
our responsibility to move it forward
out into the world around us
to keep it forever alive

do you have a story?

Love that Depth of Field in the photograph.
ReplyDeleteVery good point about how the stories become a part of us. I have too many stories in my head, sometimes hard to narrow them down :)
ReplyDeleteLove this, Cathy. It's so true that the years add detail to our life's stories, making them richer and more meaningful to us, and ever so more precious.
